Edmund has particular expertise in analysing and presenting complex large-scale litigation. This has included some of the most notable fraud cases in recent years, including: Barlow Clowes, Barings, TransTec and Canada Trust Co v. Stolzenberg. Most recently, he is involved for Cable & Wireless Group [2010] EWHC 774 (Ch); [2010] EWHC 888 (Ch) in defending claims for breach of statutory duty and conspiracy; in substantial international commercial arbitration proceedings and related appeal; in high profile city takeovers and in proceedings seeking urgent injunctive relief for conflict of interests.
In addition to the High Court, Edmund is experienced before the Court of Appeal, the House of Lords (both as counsel and Amicus Curiae) and also the Privy Council. He has acted in numerous arbitration proceedings, governed by variety of rules. He acted in the Public Enquiry into the BSE affair and has been admitted to the Manx Bar for specific litigation. He is registered as an advocate in the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts.
