Daniel Toledano's practice covers a wide range of commercial disputes in court and in international arbitration. His current and recent work includes the following:
In banking and finance:

Acted for HSBC in the Bank Charges test case in which the banks obtained judgement in their favour from the Supreme Court.

Acting for Morgan Stanley in a Commercial Court action arising out of currency swap transactions and involving a jurisdiction battle between England and the People's Republic of China.

Acting for Nomura against a recruitment agency in a dispute concerning Nomura's acquisition of parts of Lehman Brothers following its collapse.
In Energy and Utilities:

Advising oil and gas majors and electricity generators and suppliers.

Advising on issues arising out of a number of gas supply, distribution and processing agreements.
In Commercial Arbitration:

UNCITRAL arbitration concerning the construction of power plants in Northern Europe.

Due to appear in an LCIA arbitration between an investment company and a bank relating to an option to purchase shares in another bank.
In Sport:

In December 2009, appearing in a trial against Force India, one of the Formula One teams, in a sponsorship dispute.
In Fraud:
Other notable work has included Apple Computer v Apple Corps, JP Morgan v Primacom and Rowan v BP Amoco.
Daniel has experience in the High Court both at first instance and at the appellate level, including the House of Lords. He has appeared before the Data Protection Tribunal and before financial services regulatory and disciplinary panels.
Daniel regularly appears in international commercial arbitrations governed by a wide variety of rules. Most recent are his role, as counsel, in ICC, LCIA and UNCITRAL proceedings.
